Penang (Overwatch SEA map fan concept art)

Initially create this project to enter the Overwatch SEA map competition hosted by official Overwatch Facebook page.
Unfortunately I didn't manage to submit within the deadline (cries).

The location I chose to design is my hometown, George Town. George Town is the colorful, multicultural capital of the Malaysian island of Penang. The city is known for its combination of beautiful heritage houses which exists since the colonial era by the British empire and modern skyscrapers. Besides, Penang is famous for its local delicacies. My design concept is to show Penang as a multicultural, historical food empire. I chose to place our iconic Komtar building as the focus point as it's an iconic landmark that is best to represent Penang. To conclude, I want the audience to feel that the city has a fun and enthusiastic environment. I also further elaborate the designs of some key elements.

Had a lot of fun on this one, still trying to nail some bits on world building. :) Hope you guys like it!
